WEEKLY INSPIRATION

So what did Jacob do that had lasting significance during this most fruitful period of his life? He spoke words of blessings into the lives of others. Beloved, you can do the same. God has charged us to do the same. It says the first time that we see this is in Genesis 47:10, when he arrived in Egypt and Jacob blessed Pharaoh. Can you imagine that? This is a remarkable statement. Pharaoh has all the power. Jacob was just a refugee, fleeing from famine and yet Pharaoh has all that this world could offer.

But, when Jacob arrives in Egypt, he is full of sorrow and regret. How can this man who has so little, bless Pharaoh who has so much? The answer is, Jacob knows God. And God said to Abraham, I will surely bless you and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.  

Let's Pray, Father we thank you for the blessing. Thank you we are Abrahams’ seed and heirs according to the promise. Thank you, God we can bless others with our mouths for those who are great and those who are small. Thank you for trusting us with the blessing,  we will boldly do it today and forevermore. In Jesus’ name. Amen
