I remember when I was in the 7th grade my sister Sondra and I would sing this song by the famous Hawkins family. We loved their hymns, but there was one that we sang with the following words: God has not promised me sunshine that was not the way he wanted to be all of the time, but with a little rain, a little pain, there will be some sunshine. In summary, the song reminded us to be grateful through all trials every day. There is always someone else that worse off than you. There is someone else that would love to be in your shoes.
I am so grateful on November 20, 2023. God revealed to my husband and I that his promises remain true. My MRI results displayed all remains clear/stable with my brain - all traces of cancer are gone! Praise God!!! What a great way to spend Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for his new mercies each day.
I am still confused by my calling, but I am holding steadfast and hope my journey touches someone and inspires the lives of others.
The Polished Company owners revealed to me that her husband was diagnosed with colon cancer and he was encouraged when his wife shared my story with him. I know by the stripes of my Lord and Saviour, he will be healed! Champagne is his wife's English name, her real name is Prysayinth?? - I am not sure about the spelling, but God knows my heart.
Earlier in the month, I was deeply depressed because I lost a dear friend, Angela Turner, I cheered Angela on through her breast cancer battle. She won the battle of cancer, but one day she became ill and never returned from the hospital. I continue to lift her husband Spec and their two children up in prayer, Arrington and Trey. She was such a precious individual that I always kept close to my heart. I know God placed in my life for a short season, but I will continue to sow into her children. God is good! All the time, God is good! I am so grateful for a new season and new day!
